Level Improvisation
This exercises can go on and on indefinitely. I had to stop here since this was becoming more procrastination than exercise by the end of it, and I had othe (real) obligations to attend.
Waiting at the airport, I came up with a fun little exercise I like to do when I have some spare time. Improvising a level, environment or location. The rules are not very strict but the idea is to begin in one corner of the paper and develop a design as I progress thought the paper space. Something like drawing a room without knowing yet what is on the room next door. This way I discover spaces in a similar way as a visitor. The results are sometimes a bit incoherent, but this not about the result.
To be honest, this is not even my idea, I stole it from the movie “Inception". But I really love to shape spaces and needed in that moment.
